Jerusalem: Jonas Alumni at the «Alleluia» festival

As part of the «Alleluia» festival (4–9 December 2022), a musical project was organised: With the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, students of the IBDAA School and Jonas Alumni (Geneva, London, Tbilisi), conducted by Nizar Elkhater, composer, musician.

A week of meetings, exchanges, dialogue and friendship between members of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, students of the IBDAA School and Alumni of the Jonas Foundation.

We are very grateful to Pastor Andreas Schindler. He accompanied and guided the group through such a rewarding adventure.

7 December 2022, Henry Crown Hall, Jerusalem Theater: Orchestra workshop, open to the public, conducted by Nizar Elkhater. With the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, students of the IBDAA School and Jonas Alumni (Geneva, London, Tbilisi).

8 December 2022: Visit to the IBDAA School: This School is the first Palestinian school of graphic arts and cinema, located in the Arab sector (Sheikh Jarrah, East Jerusalem). A plaque was given to the project! Nizar Elkather with the director of the IBDAA School, Dr Melhem Amen Bader.

Puzzle «Creation»

19th June: The «Jonas Singers» sing with the «Petits Chanteurs de la Cathédrale» at the first Session of the Human Rights Council, United Nations, Geneva. Young singers from countries as varied as Iran, Zimbabwe, Angola, Rwanda, Cameroun, Bulgaria, Germany, United Kingdom, France and Switzerland, have been invited to sing at the first Session of the Human Rights Council.
